چکیده

The objective of the present study was to determine apparent digestibility juveniles matrinxã Brycon amazonicus fed diets with different levels protein. experimental design completely randomized, where treatments consisted four protein in (28, 32, 36 and 40%) five replicates (water boxes) 10 each. Diets were offered times a day, feces collected twice week, along 28 days, for analysis. Data subjected polynomial regression at 5% significance. Differences (p<0.05) observed dry matter digestibility, higher according increasing diets. This behavior directly expressed nutrients by matrinxã, such as % ash, crude protein, digestible energy, energy energy: ratio. However, this not (p > 0.05) ether extract. Digestibility N, P, Ca, Mg, Cu Zn presented linear positive < behavior, which use these minerals increased increase level K, Fe Mn reduced Thus, it can be concluded that rise improves nutrient digestibility. results indicated 40% provided better results.

Apparent or Standardized Ileal Digestibility of Amino Acids of Diets Containing Different Protein Feedstuffs Fed at Two Crude Protein Levels for Growing Pigs

The current study determined the apparent or standardized ileal digestibility of amino acids (AID or SID of AA) in growing pigs fed diets containing three protein feedstuffs with different fiber characteristics at two dietary crude protein (CP) levels. Twenty boars (Yorkshire×Landrace) with average initial body weight of 35 (±2.6) kg were fitted with a simple T-cannula at the distal ileum. Thes...

Influence of food restriction on the reproduction and larval performance of matrinxã, Brycon amazonicus (Spix and Agassiz, 1829).

This work evaluated the effect of food restriction and refeeding of matrinxã females, Brycon amazonicus, on their reproductive performance and on the growth and survival of the progeny. Broodstocks were distributed in 8 earthen tanks (15 fish/tank) and fish from 4 tanks were fed daily (G1) while fish from the other 4 tanks were fed for 3 days and not fed for 2 days (G2) during 6 months prior to...

Apparent digestibility and nutrient balance in lambs fed different levels of flatpea hay.

Apparent digestibility and nutrient utilization were studied in a digestion and balance trial with 30 wether lambs (BW 32 kg). Lambs were blocked by weight and allotted randomly to five diets with ratios of alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) to 'Lathco' flatpea (Lathyrus sylvestris L.) hay of 100:0, 75:25, 50:50, 25:75, and 0:100. Alfalfa was harvested in the early bloom stage and flatpea was harvest...

Evaluation of growth performance and body composition of great sturgeon (Huso huso) juveniles fed with different levels of Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid

In this study, the effect of Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) was evaluated on growth performance and body composition in beluga (Huso huso) juveniles. For this purpose, a total of 225 beluga juveniles with initial weight 38.47 ± 0.58 gr (Mean ±   Standard Division) were fed with five treatments with three replications including 0 g/kg EDTA (Control, C), 5 g/kg EDTA (EDTA 5), 10 g/kg ED...

Effects of fiber source on apparent digestibility and ruminal fermentation parameters in sheep fed high-concentrate diets

Sixteen rams (mean age: 13 mo; mean live weight: 40.0 ± 2.4 kg) were randomly allotted to four dietary treatments in a completely randomized design (4 rams per treatment). Diets (dry matter basis) contained 65% concentrate and 35% alfalfa hay (control diet, T1), 35% wheat straw (T2), 35% barley straw (T3) or 35% maize straw (T4). Total-tract apparent digestibility for dry matter, organic matter...
